Our Origins

SweetPursenality.com originated in (2005) the heart and home of Sonja
Smith Jones. Out of boredom, she drew and painted her likeness on a
burlap tote. After carrying it on the train to work, she got many compliments
and after awhile those compliments turned into orders.

Pretty soon, many celebrities took notice via social networking sites of
Jones' work and began to order their own SweetPursenality purses. Two
years later, Jones decided to say goodbye to corporate America and
pursue her passion full-time.

Mrs. Jones is also the creative force behind BeautifulBrownGirl.com ,
BeautifulBrownBaby.com, BabySmooches.com. She serves as Vice
President on the Successful Women executive board, is a ESSENCE
Volume Panel Member, a contributing free-lance writer for Divine
Inspirations e-zine published monthly, and also has a blog on how to
overcome obstacles when being an entrepreneur.
